Highland Trip Part 2

Good journey, especially the later stages. I messed up my Culloden Battlefield journey, 2 days ago, so added it to the start of this one. A couple of stops made after that, for the view. I then got to my first main stop, Helmsdale. What a great wee village. If arranging another trip in the future, I think I will make Helmsdale a sleepover for a few nights. The cafe/museum was a nice place for food. The wee area at the back had a nice view of the river. After a nice wee stop I headed for my main destination. I stopped at a spot and thought, I am in the middle of nowhere! I sort of was. Eventually got to dinner, thurso. Very happy with the hotel. Friendly staff, and they even changed my room from a single to a double! Time for a beer before dinner. Ensuite too so no sneaking across the landing for a shower.
